In a certain sense it is understandable why you’ve remained silent for this long. From a monetary perspective, I can see why you even played footsie with the right wing. I get it, liberals are often annoying and the right wing makes for a loyal fanbase. A fanbase that lets you say slurs and will even overlook an assault allegation or two, should they ever surface.

Well, is time to put the easy money aside and actually believe in something for once.

If you have any platform of any kind it is now time to start speaking out against this administration before it is too late. The clock is about to strike midnight and here you are worried about getting re-booked on Kill Tony.

Hey, who the fuck gives a shit that Lena Dunham and Michael Moore sometimes annoy you? We have bigger problems than that. The ruling class are trying to kill us. They’re taking away healthcare and airline safety regulations. Why wont you speak up?

If you have any level of influence, now is the time to put your shoulder into the wheel of history and help turn it.

You cannot have a comedy or acting career if the first amendment no longer exists. You cannot have a retirement if social security is destroyed.

Oh, do I sound alarmist? That’s because it’s fucking alarming. Listen to that little voice inside of you that cries out to be heard, the one that keeps you up at night. There is no future in the supposed industry you are worried about making connections in if the fundamental laws of the country are nullified.

Unless your spec script is about how much you love Trump and Elon Musk, you better be fucking worried, because anything else you write can and will become illegal.

All I’m saying is, you’ve worked so hard to build a fan base. Talk to them, on their level, however you can. Let them know what’s at stake.
